With IRCE @ RetailX happening in the middle of summer, we encourage you to extend your time in Chicago after IRCE and enjoy the summer activities this city is known for. We may be biased, but Chicago is one of the greatest summer cities there is. If you’re unfamiliar with Chicago, we have some great suggestions on what to do in the city.
Chicago Architecture Foundation Center River Cruise – This 90-minute river tour gives you an in-depth look at the architecture of Chicago. Volunteer tour guides interpret more than 50 buildings along the Chicago River. You’ll find out how Chicago grew from a small settlement into one of the world’s largest cities in less than 100 years.
Chicago Segway Tour – Ride a Segway on Chicago’s Lakefront while exploring the city. Enjoy a seamless glide as you experience spectacular views of Chicago’s breathtaking Lakefront and majestic Chicago skyline. This tour will take you to many attractions, gorgeous parks, and dazzling gardens while hearing stories about and around Chicago from educated tour guides.
Rooftops for Food and Drinks – Chicago offers a number of rooftops with breathtaking views of the city where you can enjoy food and drinks. Some of our favorites include Apogee at Dana hotel & spa, Gibsons Italia, LondonHouse and Cindy’s.
Chicago Water Sport Rentals – Rent jet skis, kayaks or paddleboards at 31st Street Harbor. These rentals are available by the hour and allow you to explore Chicago’s lakefront from the water.
The activities the city offers in the summer are endless. We’ve listed just a few of our favorites, but there is plenty more for you to do. We hope you take the opportunity to explore IRCE’s city!
